Minibus chaperone

Salary: £5,522 per year (£8.50/hour)

Hours: 15 hours a week (7.00am-8.30am and 3.00pm-4.30pm) for 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Orchard Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and reliable Minibus Chaperone to join our friendly team.

Duties will include:

  • Chaperoning children in the minibus every morning picking children up for school and assisting with taking them home after school.  Although not a physical role you are  required to get in and out of the minibus frequently to assist the children on and off the vehicle
  • Phoning parents to advise them of collection/arrival times during the morning/afternoon transportation
  • Occasionally phoning parents if there are transportation problems and the minibus is not in use

If you are able to drive a minibus, or willing to attend MIDAS training, this would be advantageous.
